EME Holdings, a smart mobility company, commits to a KRW 80 billion investment for a manufacturing plant in Cheongri General Industrial Complex by 2023.

EME Holdings, a smart mobility company, is set to invest KRW 800 billion to establish a manufacturing plant in the Cheongri General Industrial Complex from October this year to 2023. Sangju City in North
Gyeongsang Province signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EME Holdings on the 24th to promote the establishment and activation of a personal mobility manufacturing plant.

EME Holdings plans to invest a total of KRW 800 billion in the Cheongri General Industrial Complex, spanning 53,992㎡, from October this year to 2023. The company predicts that once the factory is completed,
it will employ more than 100 people and evolve into a global smart mobility company capable of producing electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric kickboards, battery packs, and chargers all at once.

EME Holdings is a joint venture established under the strategic business partnership between EME Korea, a specialized manufacturer of electric bicycles, and SMK, a professional secondary battery solution
company.

Personal Mobility (PM) refers to single-user means of transport powered by electricity, such as electric wheels, electric kickboards, and electric bicycles.

Young-Seok Kang, the Mayor of Sangju City, warmly welcomed EME Holdings' decision to invest in Sangju City, the 'bicycle capital' of Korea. He expressed his hopes for the company to grow beyond the
domestic borders and stand tall as a global corporation representing South Korea.
