Megazone Cloud (CEO Ju-wan Lee) announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with Kyungil University and EME Korea (CEO Hong-sik Kim) for a cloud-based "Personal Mobility Platform"
business.
Megazone Cloud plans to collaborate with AWS on EME Korea's cloud-based platform construction and smart factory operations for personal mobility. Through this partnership, Megazone Cloud aims to provide cloud services incorporating artificial intelligence and big data technologies to EME Korea's personal mobility platform, enhancing user convenience. Additionally, various features necessary for platform
advancement will be added in the future.
EME Korea plans to provide mobility devices and platforms to dormitory residents through its collaboration with Kyungil University. The company also aims to expand its business to specific user groups such as
large apartments and industrial complexes. Megazone Cloud explained that, along with the rapid growth of the personal mobility market, EME Korea's mobility devices produced and operated through the
cloud-based platform will secure competitiveness globally and leverage the advantages of cloud through the addition of various features.
Megazone Cloud, with its successful cases of cloud-based smart factories, plans to serve as a stepping stone for EME Korea's full-fledged overseas expansion, not only in South Korea but also globally.
Hong-sik Kim, CEO of EME Korea, stated, "We have analyzed various mobility platform cases at home and abroad to provide convenience to users and secure the most viable business model in the market."
He further emphasized, "With the cloud technology expertise of Megazone Cloud and AWS, we will strengthen our global competitiveness based on overseas networks."
Ju-wan Lee, CEO of Megazone Cloud, explained, "The introduction of cloud services optimized for AI, big data collection, and utilization in the personal mobility platform provides insights for business activation
and optimal services to platform users." He added, "Through this project, we will do our best to provide the expertise of Megazone Cloud in collaboration with AWS to the cloud."
Meanwhile, Megazone Cloud achieved sales of KRW 540 billion (approximately USD 460 million) last year with its affiliates, and this year's results are expected to exceed KRW 820 billion
(approximately USD 700 million).
