SMK Co., Ltd. Attends Ukraine Reconstruction International Forum and Signs MOU
for the Construction of ESS linked to Solar and Wind Energy
SMK Co., Ltd. attended the 'International Forum for Ukraine Reconstruction', held in Poland from May 21st to 23rd. The forum, hosted by the Eurasian Business Association and domestic industry-academia leaders, was intended to share the international community's willingness to support Ukraine's reconstruction, discuss infrastructure building methods, international support methods, and participation of domestic companies.
SMK Co., Ltd. attended the forum with the purpose of constructing an Energy Storage System (ESS) linked to renewable energies like solar and wind power. Through this, the company conveyed its willingness and potential to support Ukraine's reconstruction in a keynote speech.
At the forum, discussions and information sharing about Ukraine's reconstruction took place. SMK Co., Ltd. used this opportunity to share the international community's willingness to support Ukraine's reconstruction and actively pushed for domestic companies to participate in the reconstruction project.
Furthermore, the forum was interpreted as a follow-up measure to the discussions about humanitarian and economic support for Ukraine at the South Korea-U.S. summit. This is the first time a minister-level official has attended an event related to the reconstruction project, showing that the government's response to participating in Ukraine's post-war reconstruction project is accelerating.
■ MOU Signing
During the Global Ukraine Reconstruction Forum held in Poland, SMK Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Industrial Park Global Development, a subsidiary of Ukraine's largest logistics company, Max Logistics, for the construction of Smart City 4.0.
The two companies will cooperate in building an Energy Storage System (ESS) linked to renewable energy for Smart City 4.0 as strategic partners.
